Dieing friend hlp please!!!!!?

my friend who has very little insurance has just been told that bcause only 20% of his heart is operating properly he needs a heart transplant. because of his little insurance situation we believe the hospital is taking the easy way out by wanting to just install a internal defiberator and send him home with the advise to not get excited beyond a certain degree. is their any organizations that we can plea to for donations for him to have the operation.like maybe even to company's or private parties that make large donations to hospitals. any advice would help. thank you. time is of the essence.
