Weight loss and hair loss?

As of late,I've begun working out and running. My new exercise routine has caused me to shed weight fast, and I mean fast. I've noticed significant loss of hair on my thighs. I don't know whether this is from my jeans rubbing on my things because I wear boot-cut jeans , or whether this is because I have almost no fat in my thighs. Contrary to what you may or may not suspect, I eat regularly and even glutinously at times; therefore, I don't think that I'm malnourished. Any ideas? Also, hairloss does not run in my family, so I don't think it's anything hereditary.
