Help with this poem please?

It's not that it's bad, but it just doesn't fit the rest of the poem. I love the topic. Most people think about fear in a "greater" sense but overlook a child's fear. I think it would be cool to just keep explaining a fear of a child. You could focus on one specific fear and describe it in detail. I really like the question, and I think it would be great to incorporate that into the end.
